The hotel in the centre of Chinon was lovely; parking our motorbikes in the garage was a bit tricky because of the slope, but we managed; we stayed in a triple room that felt a bit tight, though the bathroom was excellent; breakfast offered plenty of choices; every staff member was friendly and helpful, so I’d rate it 9.0/10.

The location was superb—very central with everything you need right on your doorstep; we had a reserved parking space but chose to wander around the beautiful town instead of venturing further; the staff were wonderful, especially at reception, and our dog received a celebrity welcome, so I’d give it a perfect 10.0/10.
