“Mala calidad precio y problemas con el agua caliente.”

I was impressed by the views and the friendly staff, but the place is really tiny—just one room turned into an “apartment.” There’s no coffee maker, only a kettle and a microwave. Ants are everywhere; you have to watch what you leave in the kitchen. The Wi‑Fi is slow and unreliable. We stayed for 3 days and had to shower with cold water; after we complained, the repair came late, the cold water returned, and we kept dealing with it. One morning we also had no electricity, though the fix was quick. The “terrace” is actually the parking, and the space for two cars (one per apartment) is cramped, especially on the narrow, steep road, making it a bit awkward to get in and out. The price feels high for the quality, and the water and power issues made the stay unpleasant.

“Super séjour!”

The apartment was spotless. The location was excellent—just 2 minutes from Calheta beach. The view was stunning. There was private parking in front of the house. The host was very welcoming!

The bed was comfortable and the Wi‑Fi was good. However, the price-to-quality ratio was the worst we’ve ever encountered while traveling. We usually book local spots to avoid big hotel chains, but this plan backfired badly in Madeira. A few key issues: 1) During our 8‑day stay they never cleaned the room and never asked if we needed anything, so we had to manage with two toilet paper rolls for two people for 8 days. 2) The towels were old, used, and smelled bad; one set was so disgusting we couldn’t use it. We asked for two more sets and they left them in a trash bag outside. 3) Ants were everywhere—on the small couch and a table at the entrance. Any open food or spill triggered a full ant invasion. 4) The sink had a leak from the moment we entered; they fixed it on day two, but it seemed they saw it during cleaning and still did nothing. 5) The carpet was never vacuumed; I stepped on it barefoot the first day and found it covered in dust and stains, with one corner sticking up, making it slippery. 6) Parking required you to park your car on the terrace just 30 cm from the door; if the second car parked too close, you couldn’t park or risk scratching your car. 7) There was no shower gel, shampoo, or similar toiletries. I could list more, but in short it was a very disappointing stay from start to finish.

“Below expectations. A nice”

The location is nice and the bed is comfortable. The staff are very friendly, but the pricing and check‑in process are confusing. The facilities could use improvement. The apartment is a tiny renovated attache/garage. It’s a decent spot to crash, but honestly it doesn’t justify the price.
