Clean, modern rooms and good breakfast. However, the rooms get very hot in summer, and opening the windows is noisy because of the adjacent federal highway. You should know this beforehand! A climate control or fan could help.

The check‑in went smoothly, and the room had good blackout curtains and a comfortable mattress, so I slept well despite the traffic outside. Inside the property it was also quiet, and the location was perfect for me between Freiburg and Donaueschingen. The price was reasonable, especially with the generous, tasty breakfast buffet. One suggestion: vegans would appreciate one or two hearty spreads.

Overall good except on the last day some items were missing from the breakfast. The rooms were clean. Access to the rooms by elevator was perfect with my 86‑year‑old mother. The room for my wife and me was very bright and spacious, the only drawback being that it faces a very busy road, so we had to keep the windows closed. The room for my mother was very cramped, with no grab bars in the bathroom or shower, and she had to wash at the sink.
