The place sits in a good spot and the room was nice with a beautiful view, but getting in was a hassle because we had to climb up to the top floor through a staircase that still wasn’t finished.

The room was spacious and it was nice to have enough room to lay out our clothes, and we liked the fruit that was offered. The shower didn’t have hot water and the spray was a hard, unadjustable jet. The back window faced a wall, the left one looked onto the inner courtyard, and the right one overlooked a construction site.

The location was the only good thing. The staff were almost absent and we weren’t given any way to contact them. The place was really dirty. At first we were in a room under a construction site, which was noisy from the building work. Later we moved to another room that was a little better but still unpleasant, dark and filthy. The photos did not reflect the actual accommodation at all, making this a disappointing experience at the hostel.

The rooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable. Everything was within walking distance, and the host helped us organize excursions. The place was clean. However, the hosts were not always easy to find or reach. We would have liked a hair dryer and an extra chair in the room. Warm water and internet were not always available, and there were fairly large spiders in the room and bathroom.

The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to the beach and very close to the town’s main market and restaurants. We first stayed in a room on the first floor, which was great. We extended our stay by one night and moved to a ground‑floor room, but the outdoor light stayed on late into the night, making the room a bit brighter than we’d preferred. Construction next to the property had workers on site until about 9 p.m., playing reggaeton during the day. It didn’t bother us too much, but it’s something to be aware of.
