Everything was fine. A warm welcome, and that’s not something everyone gets.

“Bon rapport qualité-prix”

A quiet spot, just a short walk from Cedric’s top pizzeria and a few steps from the center. The rates were low and the welcome beer was solid. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean for a hostel. Everyone—guests and staff alike—showed great respect. It’s a decent place to spend a few nights, explore the city, and then head off to another town. A few nice spots are reachable by car in just a few minutes. Beware if you’re a light sleeper: the dorms are tiny and quickly get crowded with body heat, the fan in my room made a monstrous noise and would need a drop of oil or a replacement. The lockers for luggage were all in a bad state and wouldn’t close properly. But for the price, some flaws are expected; bring earplugs.

The parks, the location, and the calmness they offer. A place that radiates peace, and every time I pass through Nimes I’ll stop by again!
