Daily room cleaning, attentive and super friendly staff, and the ability to have breakfast on site were all great since there’s nowhere else nearby; I had no issues with hot water during my stay, and there was a tea station at the entrance at night so we could grab something warm after walks. The only suggestion would be to add milk to the breakfasts.

The welcome was flawless, the staff went above and beyond, the breakfast was perfect, and the room was very clean. Like in many places in Peru, the street slopes down to the hotel and to the center, but the weapons plaza isn’t far; the room was a bit small but well equipped.

The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking some English, and the location was quiet and not too far from the main plaza, giving a sense of safety. The room was clean and tidy, and overall everything was fine except for the hot water, which only came on in the morning despite detailed instructions. Breakfast was okay, and I'd probably stay again. Cajamarca is a very historic city that's well worth visiting. El Cumbe is uphill from the plaza but not too steep or far.
