“またシギリヤに来ることがあればこのホテルに必ず泊まりたいです。”

The location was superb and the room was spotless with a well‑working AC that made the stay super comfortable. I especially liked that the bathroom could store hot water, so I got to soak in it after a long day. Since it’s a Japanese‑run hotel, many Japanese guests stayed there, and chatting with them at the rooftop restaurant was a nice bonus. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the owner even showed me a sunset spot that made me fall in love with Sigiriya. Thanks a lot. The only downside was that being in the wilderness, insects, frogs, and geckos inevitably came in. I think that’s a common issue for any hotel in such a setting.

Breakfast with a view of Sigiriya Rock was amazing, and watching the squirrels being fed was adorable and soothing. I chose this place because of its good reviews, but the experience was a huge let‑down. I was shocked when the staff said I had no change left, and their attitude toward me as a guest was baffling. I couldn’t understand why I was treated like I was in trouble. The drainage was awful; the water barely ran and stayed stagnant, which was very unpleasant. I’ve stayed in many countries and hotels, but this is the first time I’ve felt so disappointed. I chose it based on reviews, so the disappointment is real.

Everything was clean, and the Japanese‑style coin laundry was a lifesaver. Compared to other places, it felt a bit pricey.

The Japanese‑owner run inn was very clean and comfortable; the attention to detail for Japanese travelers was evident everywhere, making the stay reassuring. A restaurant offering food that suits Japanese palates was a nice bonus. Surrounded by nature, the quiet setting overlooking Sigiriya Rock was perfect. We also listened to the owner’s stories and had a great time, enjoying a relaxed two‑night stay.

“眺望のいいアットホームな雰囲気のホテル”

The breakfast on the balcony with a view of Sigiriya Rock was delicious, especially the coconut sambol, which was outstanding. While on the balcony, squirrels and small birds would also come to visit. The atmosphere felt very home‑like and the room was spacious, fully equipped, and had no inconveniences. The only downside was that, being surrounded by trees, insects and geckos would occasionally wander in.
