⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exceptional experience worthy of a 4‑star hotel! The staff were adorable and attentive at every moment: fresh towels, help with luggage, a chilled glass upon arrival… everything was flawless. The restaurant was also amazing, with service worthy of a gastro and delicious cuisine. We asked for healthy dishes, plenty of vegetables and little fat, and we were delighted! 🌿 The breakfast was great with a choice of Western or Sri Lankan options 🥞 The setting was beautiful, calm, and completely out of the ordinary, with many little monkeys around the property. 🐒🌿 A bonus for those seeking atmosphere: we met a French couple who open the Monkey Forest, a lively restaurant‑bar with karaoke, tomorrow nearby. 🎤🍹 A lovely spot to enjoy an animated evening! We only stayed one night, which we regret; we would have loved to stay longer. A huge thank you to the whole team for the wonderful welcome ❤️

Lovely shady pool, great views into the forest, and very friendly staff! This was a great home base for exploring Polonnaruwa. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing too!. The dinner did take a long time to come (1hr), but we visited in off season / I don’t think we were expected!

“Great stay in a jungle resort with a pool”

We were very impressed by this hotel and were very sad we only had booked one night. We were received with a cold welcome drink and a wet towel to freshen up from the heat while the staff took our bags to the room. When we arrived, the aircon was on and it felt very welcoming. The manager had worked at the Hilton and you could tell by the treatment he gave to all his customers. He helped us arrange an elephant safari at Kaudulla National Park. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The highlight was the swimming pool in the middle of the beautiful nature to get some relief from the humidity. Everything was lovely

“Relaxed and casual with very lovely staff”

Loved the staff here, so very professional and polite. Nice quiet stay. Swam in the pool with monkeys all around us which was a special experience. The host organised our Tuk Tuk for the Royal Palace tour and was very helpful. Food was also very tasty. Also allowed us late check out so had a shower and swim after our tour before leaving

“Great place to stay in the countryside”

Great quiet location Easy tuk tuk ride into town Great breakfast and dinners available Friendly staff Clean good size room Lovely pool -watch out for the monkeys Fascinating to watch however cover your belongings A monkey pinched my glass case off the table we had to wait and watch as the monkey chewed at the case eventually opened it and luckily my glasses fell out Then proceeded to destroy the case and drop to the ground before he scampered off Highly recommend this guest house
