We booked online for a pet‑friendly room but found none available upon arrival. The desk staff acted as if I should have known to call for a special request. If a hotel advertises pet‑friendly, it should be that way; it was a hassle to leave after a long drive in a small city.

The beds felt like sleeping on a rock, the hallway to the room smelled like piss, there were ants in the room, and everything was outdated; it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The breakfast was gross, so we ended up getting McDonald’s.
