“Not the best experience”
The hotel is relatively close to Recife Airport, which can make it a practical option if you need somewhere to stay before or after a flight. We arrived before the official check-in time and unfortunately couldn’t access our room yet. This was understandable, and we appreciated that the hotel allowed us to store our luggage while we waited. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. The first surprise is the condition of the hotel. The hotel has only been open for around two years, but honestly, it looks and feels as though it has been in use for at least 15 years. There is already a remarkable amount of wear and tear throughout the property, including many visible signs of use and damage in our room. Considering how relatively new the hotel is, this was particularly disappointing. The welcome at reception felt rather cold and impersonal, while the lobby itself is equally cold and lacking in atmosphere. Our bathroom was extremely small, with barely enough room to move around comfortably. The bed and mattress sagged and weren’t particularly comfortable. The air conditioning is positioned directly towards the bed, meaning you’re sleeping in a constant stream of cold air during the night. Breakfast was mediocre. The breakfast room has very little atmosphere and is extremely noisy, making it far from a relaxing start to the day. There was a large selection of sweet items, but we found the overall breakfast offering rather disappointing. During our breakfast, the coffee and hot water repeatedly ran out and had to be replenished. The small pool tucked away beside the hotel and has not a particularly inviting place to spend time. We didn’t use it, as the water didn’t look very clear during our stay. The location is convenient if being relatively close to the airport is important to you, but otherwise we found it quite inconvenient. There wasn’t much of interest within easy walking distance for us, so we relied on Uber or taxis to get to restaurants, shops and other places. At around €70 per night, we simply don’t feel this hotel offers good value for money in its current condition. With better maintenance, more attention to atmosphere and improvements to the overall guest experience, there is certainly room for improvement
