“Bene, bene!!.. ma non benissimo”
I had a genuinely pleasant stay at this resort, especially thanks to the sea‑view room and the beautiful bay that gives easy beach access, with a variety of fish, corals, and the abundant green that seems to cover everything. The food was good and the service informal. Almost every staff member was exceptional: the animators were brilliant, tireless, always smiling, never intrusive; the Coraya diving guys, especially Hamza and Mohamed, were super kind, attentive, and helpful, and we went on three fantastic dives with them. The rest of the team—Mario, the bartenders, gardeners, waiters, chefs, masseurs, and especially the thoughtful Tamer who cleaned our room daily and set up the bed with different decorations that made us smile every day—were all always cheerful and sweet. The care for the small animals and marine life was outstanding. If you’re the type who doesn’t like having beautiful birds and magpies around, this place isn’t for you, nor are you for them. The only downside is how the services are marketed: the Beauty Center offers treatments that should never be done in a place where you’re constantly exposed to sun, sea, or pool water (watch out for Mohamed at the Beauty Center). They’ll have you sign a receipt that, once signed, means you can’t cancel and you’ll lose 50 % of the agreed amount. In reality you have 24 hours to cancel without penalty, but the staff won’t tell you that, pressuring you with a tiny clause at the bottom of the receipt and forcing you into alternative treatments. Don’t believe anyone who says you’ll get 80 % back if you cancel within 24 hours—the penalty is always 50 %! Even if you go to reception and ask for the director, you’ll get little help: the director never shows up, avoids confrontation, and will send a deputy (Hibraim) who, with a condescending air, will tell you the system is wrong, promise it won’t happen again, and offer false apologies. No mediation or refund attempts! So be careful and don’t sign anything unless you’re absolutely sure you want the service. We found this practice extremely unpleasant and shameful, especially considering the resort makes millions of dollars a week and should prioritize guest well‑being over squeezing money.
“Sconsigliato,non ci tornerò”
The hotel’s location in a sheltered bay was a big plus, and the coral reef was gorgeous with plenty of fish, making it a true paradise for snorkelers. The garden was lovely, all green, meticulously cared for, and clean. The food and service were disappointing: the food quality was awful, and some bartenders were decidedly unfriendly. The room was old and desperately needed renovation; the bedding was worn, and the pillows were dirty. To top it off, when they brought our luggage into the room, they broke the handle. The beach was chaotic because of overcrowding: by 6 am all loungers were occupied with towels, even though no one was there. People wake up at dawn to claim spots and then leave, so finding an empty lounger during the day is practically impossible.
The resort is convenient with a bar, restaurant, pool, and close to the beach.
“Dopo oltre 10 presenze, un costante degrado della barriera. Peccato.”
The stay was good, and because there were many Italians, the reception had an Italian speaker who was always available.
The resort offers sea access in a wind‑protected bay, a reef full of fish but with faded corals, and decent dining. There are no major negatives, just some maintenance needed.
