“Simple. Well located and no complaints”

The property was very unpretentious, offering a great free section of biscuits, tea, and water; the beds were comfy and the place was remarkably quiet, and although the location is a bit isolated, it’s very close to Templemeads, which was great. Honestly, nothing stands out as an issue; it does what it says on the tin, and it’s a steal—steals aren’t the Ritz.

“Rapide”

Near Temple Meads station, the establishment looked closed—door shut, “closed” sign, no lights, building in poor condition, phone not answering. I was about to leave when a man came in to open the door, was very kind, and carried my luggage to my room. The room was dark—even with lights on, it was hard to read a book. The overall condition inside the building was bad: peeling wallpaper, faded walls, dusty bathroom windows, a cracked toilet seat, difficult to close the door, water sometimes boiling or cold. However, the room had tea, coffee, biscuits, chips, and dry porridge that could be prepared with boiling water from the kettle. The bed was clean and comfortable. A noisy wall clock (“tick‑tock”) kept me awake all night.

“Decent budget option close to trains”

The place is great, right next to Temple Meads and not too far from the town centre. The room came stocked with water, teas, coffees, snacks and even porridge. At the party some guests used the fire exit to reach the shared toilets, which felt a bit unsafe.

It was 3 minutes away from The Prospect building which was the reason for our visit. Very close to Bristol Temple Mead, and several take aways. This site will continue to grow in popularity as the Uni area develops too. Quite dark at night oitside at the minute; but ongoing development around the area will improve this
