The Riad was beautiful! The staff were extremely helpful with arrangements and made us feel like the only guests. Our favorite was the luggage porter who met us outside the Medina, guided us to the riad, and then did the reverse when we left. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a bathroom or dressing area on the same floor as the sleeping area. If that’s a requirement, request a room without stairs.

The hotel feels like a 1001 nights fairy tale, with stunning design and a fantastic courtyard that opens into the rooms. The food is delicious, the staff very courteous, and the manager is honest and patient, making for a wonderful experience.

The best thing about this property is the staff—by far the most friendly and hospitable you’ll encounter. The facilities are pretty minimal and the cleanliness of the place is lacking. The location isn’t for the faint‑hearted—you’ll need to arrange for someone to pick you up and drop you off, which the property handles easily. This is the case for many places inside the Medina.

Absolutely top! The room was huge and super beautiful, especially the rooftop terrace which offered an incredible view over the Medina. The staff were very friendly, dinner and breakfast were both excellent (small but fine). We also appreciated the luggage service to and from the hotel, which worked perfectly. Aziz helped us with his cheerful manner and drove our suitcases through the narrow Medina streets—thanks a lot, Aziz! Nothing to complain about, and if we ever get a chance to return to Fes, we’ll know exactly where to stay.

The history of the building, its thoughtful restoration, the decor. An absolutely stunning property in a very central location within the medina. the padlocks could be bigger?
