Marathon Hostel

I’m not sure… maybe that’s a common area… The location is also good. At reception they didn’t believe me that the code didn’t work. The bathroom was horrible and tiny; you need a code to pee. You need earplugs because the street is noisy, the door shuts very loudly. There is no space to sit in the room or anything, as the room has only beds. Not a very friendly place. The kitchen, fridge, equipment was a disaster. I planned to stay longer but left after the first night.

The location is excellent. I stayed twice in two weeks. The first time I booked a private room and was disappointed that the bathroom was outside the room; it’s inconvenient. I expected an internal bathroom for a private room. The next week I had a shared room and it was fine, the bathroom was still outside but I understood it was a shared space.

The hostel is well maintained. Pleasant because the bed has curtains. I booked and paid for one night but couldn’t stay that night. I requested a refund or a reschedule for a future stay, but I never received a response to my emails.

“Tutto bene”

The location is great, very central, and the staff is very kind and helpful. The room was clean and as shown in the photos. Because there’s a pub below, there’s noise until late some evenings. Also the kitchen could have more dishes and pots given the number of people in the hostel.
