Ana and Guillermo were incredibly welcoming—they made me breakfast every morning, gave solid tips on what to see, and even arranged a bike ride to Tayrona National Park. They helped me catch buses to Santa Marta and Cartagena and followed up with a quick message to be sure I got there safely. The pool is fantastic and the view from it is just breathtaking.

The pool offers an amazing vista and the staff are really attentive. Just keep in mind the nearby beach often flies a red flag, so paying for entry won’t let you swim anyway.

The beds were super comfy, the rooms stayed cool thanks to good AC, and breakfast was solid; Ana and Guillermo added a friendly touch and the pool is a real eye‑catcher. The only downside is that the steps up to the pool and the luxury rooms are pretty steep, though the view makes up for it, and the main‑house rooms sit right next to a busy road.

The scenery blew me away—we could see one of Venezuela’s biggest volcanoes right from our room. Staff were on point, handling every request we had, and the pool felt like a little oasis that made us feel at home instantly.

We absolutely loved our time at Hostal Cristal Tayrona—Guillermo and Ana are genuinely charming, the room was spotless, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious. Chatting with them was a highlight, and the pool perched on the hill gave us some of the most impressive views we’ve seen. We’ve already left but are itching to go back; highly recommend this place.
