“Perfekt zum relaxten, aufmerksame Mitarbeiter und super leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen.”
The location is grandiose, right on the sea. The steep 15‑minute walk to the street is a drawback.

Nice spot in nature, but very remote with almost nothing within walking distance. The woman was nice and tried to help. There was no running water and the place looked derelict; open electricity cables protruded from the room wall. Most of the terrace shade panels were hanging down broken, and a man who looked like a staff member or family member lay on the terrace floor playing on his phone, apparently intoxicated or something similar—he completely ignored us, so we didn’t feel unsafe.

What a wonderful place! I came during the rainy season, so the surroundings were lush and the weather very pleasant. The rooms are even more beautiful than the photos show, and the bed was very comfortable. At night the sound of the sea and the wind from the mountains gave me a wonderful night. In the morning I visited a nearby beach about 15 minutes on foot, and the scenery was paradise‑like—a beautiful black‑sand beach, speckled with volcanic rocks and surrounded by lush green dunes! Kátia gave the best reception and service in the world! And if you want the best hot coffee on Fogo Island, that’s where you’ll find it! My tip is to stay at least three days so you have time to explore the surrounding beaches and visit Mosteiros.

What an amazing location, and the hostess, Katia, is incredibly welcoming. Everything you eat comes straight from the sea or from the garden behind the house, and the food was delicious. The houses have all the amenities you need and offer a fantastic view of the water. From the terrace you can look out over the sea and, during the harvest, spot a turtle. Katia’s partner has a fishing rod and happily lends it out, telling you the best spots to catch fish. All in all, a super‑nice and beautiful accommodation!
