Located in Dullstroom, Stonecutters Lodge is a picturesque Trout Lodge situated between Dullstroom and Lydenburg, bordered by a river with 2 dams stocked with trout. Accommodations feature private terraces with pine tree and mountain views, underfloor heating, satellite TV, open-plan kitchens, and private bathrooms with showers. The lodge offers breakfast and dinner on-site, with a wetland and bird-hide for nature enthusiasts.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the setting was beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable and spacious.

The rooms were comfortable and a short walk led to a picnic site next to the river, but road noise was an issue.

The incredible views, peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings made the stay great; Unit 5 was clean, comfortable and fully equipped, the staff were warm and friendly, and the fly‑fishing lesson with Oupa was a highlight—he was patient, knowledgeable and fun. The only real downside was the shower in Unit 5, which had very low water pressure and some mould between the tiles.

The location was peaceful and beautiful; Margi and Lesley made us feel right at home and looked after us throughout the weekend, so thank you for a superb getaway!
