Breakfast was not included, but we could get it at the bar (and restaurant/pizzeria) in the same building very early in the morning, something my husband appreciated a lot. We ate there several times, always very good, including the pizza and the set lunch menu. We also recommend the restaurant! Since Loiano was not easy to navigate for us from the plains and of a certain age, we really appreciated staying in the same building to eat and even after dinner, when it becomes a wine bar. That aspect had a downside, however (see below), when on Saturday night at bedtime we couldn’t keep the window open in the second‑floor room because of the festive noise! Understandable for the weekend, only negative because with the window closed we suffered the heat. I didn’t like that they didn’t help us bring the luggage into the room (I’m over sixty with some health issues and the room was on the second floor: I think they could have done it) and especially that we were given only one set of keys. I gave the property a good rating, but I find this unforgivable because you don’t always leave the room and the property together and we had to arrange to come back in. Another thing that absolutely needs fixing (even with a simple power strip, a plug, basically) is that there are no outlets to charge the phone and you have to choose between using the lamp on the nightstand or the fan! No outlet in the room. Everything was well renovated and the décor is very nice, but you can’t forget the basic needs. The first night (late August) we had a lot of heat, but it was Saturday and we couldn’t keep the window open because a very positive aspect of the property (the bar and restaurant/pizzeria in the same building) can become negative on the weekend, when it’s one of the few venues in Loiano. We couldn’t keep the window open because of the noise. Our window faced the access roads to Loiano, so there was also daytime traffic noise. With climate change, it will become increasingly difficult, I fear, to stay in properties without air conditioning even though Loiano is at 700 metres.
