Parking was close to the hotel. The corners of the room were far from clean, and the breakfast trays were not often refilled with food.

We spent one night in this lovely hotel in Eguisheim on our way to Luxembourg, bringing our two whippets and booking two double rooms. The rooms were small but charming, the beds were good, and we asked for rooms close together. The hotel sits right in the heart of the typical Alsatian village, just 6 km from Colmar, with half‑timber houses and the beautiful cathedral dedicated to Pope Leo IX, who was born in Eguisheim. The hotel offers a huge, comfortable parking lot with lawn beds and a few trees, which really helped us take our dogs out both in the evening and early in the morning. By reserving a table we could dine in the hotel’s restaurant: the typical Alsatian menu offers both meat and fish. Breakfast was decent. The staff were friendly, and the receptionist, a cheerful lady, even spoke Italian. Unfortunately our rooms were not very clean: dust on the TV and a bit everywhere in the corners; my husband’s bathroom shower didn’t work. The restaurant was a bit pricey. The rooms were noisy at night. It’s a shame because the hotel has great potential and the façade is magnificent!

“Superbe séjour”

The décor was typical of the establishment, down to the bedding and friezes. The staff were very smiling and the restaurant excellent, with breakfast and dinner. A superb stay! The only downside was having a "normal" wardrobe closed in the room instead of a simple shelf. A slight unpleasant sewer smell on the landing, which the staff claimed was exceptional, but fortunately it was not present in the room.
