The hosts were very friendly, the spot on Lake Poisson Blanc is a plus, and breakfast was excellent. Homemade products of great quality—jams, sauces, smoked meats, eggs, etc.—are available for purchase. We had the bathroom to ourselves, but normally it would be shared if other guests were present.

Food was top notch, quiet spot, hosts kept chatting and gave great local tips. We were biking, so getting there was a bit of a trek – a car would have made it easier.

“Le petit déjeuner était fabuleux et copieux”

Breakfast was a feast – homemade yogurt, bread, jam, thin pancakes piled with fruit and bacon that was so good you could buy it elsewhere. The cottage is tucked away in the white fish lake park, you have to take a gravel road to get there. Plenty of outdoor fun nearby, lake water was perfect in hot August. Chickens are pampered, just missing some classical music. The room was big, bed comfy, cool. Would stay again. Only downside: a staircase leads down to the rooms.

“Wonderful place and wonderful hosts”

Serge and Dominique are the friendliest hosts you’ll meet, always ready to help but also give you space. The place is spotless and beautifully decorated, everything top quality. The view over the lake is gorgeous, with a path to the pier, fire pit, picnic table, and other spots. Trails nearby vary in difficulty and end with amazing vistas. The provincial park is close for canoe or kayak rentals. I spent a lot of quiet time on the back terrace reading or watching birds.
