I figured the noise came from a nearby hotel where a group of tourists were having a party. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, you should think twice.

Nice cheap place to stay if you’re just traveling through like we did. You couldn’t turn on the air conditioning while keeping the lights off, so you had to either leave the lights on or not have the AC running at night.

Quiet, cool air, and a good price for a night’s stay—probably suitable for a short rental. I was mistaken and thought it was near the Lao border close to Laem Sed beach.
