Sala Lanna Chiang Mai

We slipped a 50‑baht tip and were thrilled to find a whole “towel animal zoo” waiting for us, which really showed the housekeeping team’s warmth, enthusiasm and creativity. Our room sat right beside the river, giving us lovely views that changed from day to night. The front desk let us check in early and even offered welcome drinks. The room came with a bathtub, a separate shower and a separate toilet. The downside was that the hotel sits a good distance from the city centre with no nearby shops or convenience stores, and the snacks and cookies left in the room cost extra compared with other Chiang Mai hotels.

Sala Lanna gives off a perfect boutique‑hotel vibe with beautiful décor. It can be a little noisy from traffic.

I must say that the staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's overall atmosphere was pleasant, and I appreciated the staff's assistance throughout my visit.
