Violino d'Oro Venezia is an 18th-century building with decorated rooms overlooking the San Moisè Canal, just 2 minutes' walk from Saint Mark’s Square. Exposed wooden beams, crystal chandeliers, and a blend of ancient art and contemporary design characterize the hotel's interiors. Each room features air conditioning, satellite flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with bathrobes and slippers.

The location was great, but the breakfast took a while to serve.

The service was good, but there were stairs.

We spent three days at Violino d'Oro and it was absolutely fantastic, thanks to a level of personal care that went beyond anything we could have imagined. The building itself is gorgeous, but it was the staff—GM Annabella Cariello, front‑desk agent Giada De Pretto, and concierge Matteo Flumian—that really made the trip unforgettable. When an unrelated travel mishap hit us, Annabella stepped in personally, offering calm advice, local insight, and real support that turned a tense situation into something manageable. Both she and Giada went out of their way for us, making us feel like family. Giada’s kindness at the front desk kept extending; we’re on a five‑week Italian tour, and she helped coordinate details with our next hotels, giving spot‑on coffee and restaurant suggestions. To finish, we asked for a last‑minute favor on the eve of the Venice Film Festival, and Matteo secured a table at the famed Ristorante da Ivo—an amazing dinner that capped off our visit perfectly. Annabella, Giada, and Matteo are the epitome of hospitality; their warmth made the stay unforgettable, and we’re already looking forward to calling this place our Venetian home again.

From the moment we stepped in, the hotel wrapped us in real care and warm hospitality, and a glasses‑wearing concierge—though I forgot his name—was incredibly kind and helpful; the location is fantastic, our room lacked a view but was cozy, beautifully presented, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay even better, plus the staff arranged a late‑night breakfast for our flight and packed it for us, a gesture we truly appreciated; the breakfast itself was delicious, though I personally prefer a buffet‑style spread where you can choose and return for more.
