The spot was decent, and my room had a nice private porch for morning tea. The downside was that the management isn’t on site, so when the guest above me smoked pot on a non‑smoking property, the smell seeped into my room both morning and night, and when I called, they refused to address it. The room itself was shabby—the easy chair looked like something Goodwill would turn down.

The balcony offered fantastic views and the working gas fireplace was a delightful surprise, making it feel like the coziest bed and breakfast in a charming coastal town.

The location was fine, but the property is managed remotely: we received an email and text with front‑door codes, and after entering the main door and standing outside our room, we called the provided number and were told we needed to give a credit card number for any expenses, even though we had paid in full 48 hrs before arrival. Several items in our room needed fixing— the top bureau drawer falls out when opened, there were holes in the bathroom wall where previous attachments had been but weren’t repaired, no screens on the windows, the towel warmer had no switch, and our door access code required repeated entries to work.

It’s a very charming place in a good location, though I would have preferred an 11 am checkout instead of 10 am.
