“Great place to base yourself to explore Madrid.”
The room was exceptionally clean and well‑furnished, with comfortable beds and fresh linens. The bathroom, though not large, offered a spacious shower and hot water at all times, making it a comfortable space. The air conditioning was wonderful in hot July Madrid. The hosts were friendly and approachable, and the building’s lift helped with our suitcases. The location is excellent: a short walk from two metro stations, and a forty‑minute walk to the center, e.g., Puerta del Sol, through a lively stretch of shops, cinemas, and eateries. The pension sits in a residential area with plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars, and local shops, and there’s a supermarket just around the corner. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. The only downside was that the twin beds faced the inner well, which didn’t bother us, but a kettle in the room would have been nice.
