“Très bel hôtel, mais déçues par notre chambre”

The pool was superb with a beautiful view, the welcome was warm. The room was very comfortable with extraordinary pillows! I think we had the only room in the hotel with no view; the window faced the wall of the neighboring room about 2 m away, giving a feeling of confinement. We were disappointed because the hotel is very beautiful and superbly located, but fortunately we were only there for one night.

The hotel’s mountain setting is genuinely beautiful and probably the biggest advantage of the Maristel. The surroundings are full of atmosphere and great for exploring that part of Mallorca. The rooms feel rather plain and nothing special overall. Even though the breakfast spread was large, nothing really tasted good; the quality was disappointing. Most of the staff came across as somewhat detached, so we missed a touch of warmth. The pool area was also a let‑down; the photos suggest a lovely sea view, but in reality the view from the pool is very limited. The hotel and pool look far more attractive and high‑quality in the pictures than they do on site. We’d advise skipping the on‑site dining and heading to the nearby Monti Mare for a paella – it was excellent and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, the Maristel shines mainly because of its gorgeous location, but the actual experience didn’t quite match the expectations set by the photos.
