The location is very convenient and the staff are helpful and attentive. The cafe breakfast was a let‑down from start to finish; the options leaned heavily on Chinese cuisine with almost no western dishes, no egg station for fried, scrambled or omelette eggs, and the staff were clueless about basic western breakfast standards. They couldn’t even supply a teaspoon – they handed me a large white Chinese soup spoon instead. The coffee was poor and only one type was available; the machine offered milk but it didn’t work. We called three staff members, only one lady vaguely understood how to fix it, and after her tinkering the coffee was okay but still no milk. The room is spacious and comfortable but lacks storage – no drawers, cabinets, or benches for small items. The air‑con is unstable, automatically changing settings and making me feel hot in the middle of the night, which woke me up. The fridge feels warm and isn’t cold at all.

The staff and reception are very friendly and always ready to help. The room is neat and tidy, the breakfast is good, and the location is great – highly recommended. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in Shanghai!
