A very quiet spot surrounded by nature, complete with monkeys and hummingbirds; the place is fantastic and the guests are friendly. The downside was the internet speed – it was only fast enough for messaging.

The host was available and kind, and we had our own private space; Brigitte respected our privacy while inviting us to explore her ranch and animals. She offered plenty of tips about the Nicoya Peninsula – where to go, what to see, and where to eat. I recommend this place. The only drawback is that it’s deep in the jungle, which is beautiful but comes with a mosquito warning.

There was plenty of silence, making it easy to rest and sleep well. The beds were spacious and comfortable, the bathroom huge, and the air conditioning worked great. It’s a very safe spot and strategically located to explore all the nearby beaches. The kitchen was not in the room but outside, which is annoying because of mosquitoes and insects when cooking.

The place sits in a gorgeous spot surrounded by nature, and from there you can hop out on trips to the beach or even to Curu Reserva. The host and hostess were very attentive and shared loads of tips on sights to see. The highlight for us was the horseback riding excursion. The outdoor kitchen is bug‑prone, so keep that in mind even if it didn’t bother us.
