The location was superb at the back of the fjord, with free outdoor parking. The room was spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable, and offered fjord views. Our friendly host gave great advice about the Senja island trip and nearby spots to try for the Northern Lights, though unfortunately neither of the two nights we stayed in Sorreisa saw any aurora. My wife has reduced mobility; the rooms are on the first floor with no elevator. It wasn’t a huge problem because she’s light and I can carry her, but an elevator would be a nice addition.

The room was simple but adequately sized, and the hotel had a quirky vibe. The location works well for this area, and it’s convenient if you’re driving around. The evening meal at a local grill was tasty, and the on‑site restaurant was also good. However, there isn’t much space if you’re traveling with two bags.
