The stay at the desert camp was a great experience. Hamid organized everything perfectly. We used the hotel pool in Merzouga in the evening, then took a Jeep to the camp, and finally rode the camel caravan to the camp. The welcome with tea at the camp was very friendly, the luxurious tents were cozy and comfortably furnished. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed a relaxed evening around the campfire. The next day we went on a Jeep safari, which we also liked a lot and was an absolute highlight for the whole family. The transfer from the camp to the hotel or vice versa with the Jeep “Sandsurfing Achterbahn” and the sunrise in the desert was great. Thank you! It would have been nice to know the dinner menu in advance (print it out and put it on the table). The Christmas décor was a bit inappropriate, but it didn’t bother us further.

The camp’s location is perfect, right at the foot of the sand dunes. The exterior décor is very pretty and the tents are well equipped. The listing should state that the site is only accessible by 4x4. If you can’t get there with your own vehicle, a transfer costs €20 by car (round‑trip for two people) or €20 per person per leg by camel.

The camp was very pretty with good dinner and breakfast, I enjoyed the surroundings, the tent had all the comforts, the entertainment by the campfire was fun and cozy, the camel ride was very enjoyable and lasted about 3 hours so you could see the sunset from a hilltop, the next day’s tour was also nice and handled by a friendly man who gave a lot of explanations, the staff were very friendly, you just had to ask and they would arrange it if possible. The tent has no sockets; you can charge the phone only via USB‑A, otherwise you have to charge in the common tent.

The campsite is really beautiful, but be prepared for some extra costs - they charge for air conditioning and you'll need to pay for transportation to and from the town. It's a lovely spot, but just be aware of the extra expenses.

“Moet je een keer meegemaakt hebben!”

I've got to say, the friendliness of Mr. Hamid was the highlight of our stay. He was more than happy to help us with anything and everything, and when we had to cancel our booking due to unforeseen circumstances, he was super understanding and accommodating. We'd booked three nights, but ended up not needing them, and Hamid didn't bat an eye. He even offered us the use of the hotel's pool area in the afternoon, which was a lifesaver on a hot day.
