“Fine For A Short Stay”
The location was great, but the decor looked tired and could use a refresh. The continental breakfast was fine, though I’d have preferred a cooked breakfast.

St Annes Guest House, a Victorian townhouse, sits a short walk from Oban Harbour, offering free Wi‑Fi, tea, coffee, and TV in bright rooms with bay views. Private or shared bathrooms are available. Nearby, bars, a cinema, two cathedrals, and McCaig’s Tower (0.6 mi) lie within easy reach. Continental and full Scottish breakfasts are served daily.

The location is great, just a short walk to the city centre, and the old Victorian villa is pretty and clean. The room is simple but tidy and comfortable, though you have to walk through the hallway to reach the bathroom and toilet. Breakfast is continental with limited options. The public parking is nearby. The breakfast could be better.

The room was quaint, very simple but clean, and the temperature was good for sleeping (a little cool). The mattress was fine, probably a double bed. The bathroom was in a separate room in the hall, adjacent to ours and for our private use; it was clean, well lit, and more spacious than the bedroom. The internet was very poor: it rarely worked and when it did it would drop; at best I could check text or email, but I couldn’t stream anything. Don’t expect more than boxed cereal with milk and juice for breakfast, and there was no refrigerator in the room, so meals had to be taken out.

The location was good for exploring Oban, just a ten‑minute walk from the rail/bus station. Checkout was hassle‑free—just drop the room key in the box when leaving. The shower in the shared bathroom could be better.

The location was great, but the stairs were a drawback.
