The apartment was decent and the views were really nice. It cost less than the places you find right on the nearby beaches, which was a relief. Getting there took a bit longer because you have to juggle Uber or a taxi with a motorbike ride, but the little adventure was worth it.

I really enjoyed my stay and I’m already planning to come back soon. The only thing that held me back a bit was the location – it wasn’t as convenient as I’d hoped.

The spot is solid – it’s close to Prainha do Vidigal and Leblon, the rooftop view is beautiful and the rooms do have air‑conditioning. However, there was no front desk or any sign that it was a hostel, so checking in was a hassle, and the advertised kitchen was off‑limits. We also didn’t have drinking water, the bathrooms were tiny, constantly dirty and one lacked hot water, and the bunk beds were hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel was right next to a lovely beach, which made mornings great. It’s a bit far from the other attractions, so getting around took longer, but the price was reasonable for what you get.
