“Dirty, unsafe, dishonest & completely unacceptable”
Nothing was good; it was disgraceful. I was exhausted and had no choice, so I’m glad I shortened my stay. Stay away from Rehaish Inn Model Colony, Karachi. The photos are completely fake. This place is filthy, poorly maintained, and feels unsafe. After a 35‑hour road trip from Islamabad I arrived exhausted, hoping for a basic clean room. Instead the reception staff—who seemed to include underage/uneducated workers, raising serious concerns about exploitation and low wages—took cash for the room, kept the entire amount, and refused to give change, claiming it was “charges in case you damage anything.” No proper welcome, no explanation of the hotel—just money taken. Worse, the receptionist photographed my ID card on his personal phone without my consent. I did not agree to this. If any fraudulent activity occurs with my details I will report it to the police. The room is in terrible condition: walls covered in paan/tobacco spit stains, cockroaches and insects everywhere, a lizard crawling under the air‑conditioner unit, no fridge despite Karachi’s extreme heat, a strong foul smell throughout, a gas cylinder stored carelessly right outside the room (fire hazard), a broken wardrobe, a non‑working clock, overall prison‑like walls. The bathroom is disgusting: the toilet is stained, the flush is not working and badly leaks onto the floor, mould and grime everywhere. This place is not worth even Rs 100 a night. Zero hygiene, zero professionalism, zero safety. I strongly advise everyone to avoid it.
