The resort is gorgeous and the staff are amazing, the rooms are spotless and the private hot‑spring deck is a treat. We loved the yoga, the buffet and the extra pools at Gardens and Springs, plus the free laundry and mini‑bar goodies. The day beds are huge, but the bathroom privacy is a bit lacking and the steep hills make walking a chore—golf carts help but can be slow to arrive.

We booked two adjacent family villas to guarantee a view of Arenal Volcano for our five‑night stay, but we ended up with no view at all. The extra cost felt wasted and we were disappointed, even though the staff offered a free night and a later villa with a view. Still, it wasn't what we paid for.
