“En riktigt pärla för den som vill prova att bo som förr i tiden - och för alla andra också!”
This place is a real little gem. All the rooms are nicely decorated in various vintage styles, the hosts are friendly, easy to talk to, and very helpful, and they bake fresh rolls for breakfast. The kitchen is styled in a 50s/60s look with plenty of fun details and functional items. There’s an outdoor veranda if you want to sit outside and eat breakfast. They also run a flea market in a barn with lots of stuff for those who like it. The location is out in the country, which we liked. Ferries are nearby to Östersund if you don’t want to drive around the lake. They have a solar‑powered charger for electric cars – practical! Everything is very well kept and, despite all the quirks, feels clean and tidy. We liked the rural setting, but if you want to get into Östersund quickly it can feel far away, and you have to time the ferries (which you can take with your car for free) – we missed that once and it would have been faster to drive around the lake. Also be aware that the bathroom and shower are simple, but clean and tidy.
