Dan gave me a warm welcome at check‑in, mentioned my birthday, and offered a free drink and a bag of chips; I liked my room and the breakfast had both hot and cold options, and the hotel was close to restaurants, shopping, and the Chattahoochee Nature Center, which was a very short drive away.

I didn’t have many options for breakfast—just scrambled eggs with bacon. I was hoping for American pancakes and other varieties, but they weren’t offered at all.

The staff were polite and the location was convenient, but when I got up I saw roaches and gnats in my room and I didn’t have time to move to another hotel because I was on call for emergencies at the hospital, so leaving wasn’t an option that late.

The spot was super handy, but when we checked in they said the elevator was broken, so we had to haul our bags up the stairs—no problem, the room was on the second floor (really???) The next morning, we used the elevator to check out and got stuck; the emergency button didn’t work and no one answered the call. Finally, someone manually pried the doors open and we escaped. Back down with all our luggage, we told the front desk that the elevator was still jammed, and he said it had been fine earlier (again, really???) We decided the argument wasn’t worth it and just left.
