“Timber Cove- Not Resort Worthy”
The ocean‑view room was great, small but comfy; the restaurant food and staff were very good—competent, friendly, and accommodating; parking was easy and they’re dog‑friendly, which we loved. The deck was tiny and the chairs were absurdly old and uncomfortable, so that’s a real let‑down. Claiming they include coffee and pastries is misleading; the free coffee was unpalatable and the pastries were plain, almost Wonderbread‑level cheap, and we still had to pay for cappuccinos. We were hit with a $40 per person resort fee, the spa was “unavailable” when we asked, and the gym looked dated; the makeup mirror in the bathroom had no light, the stationary bike was only for teens, and there were no railings on the steep walkways, making it unsafe for seniors. For $800 a night, we could stay at the Four Seasons instead.
