The overwater villa offered a nice view and swing, the room was beautifully designed and decorated, and the bathtub let me enjoy the ocean view while relaxing, plus the arrival and departure services were quite good, but the whole island felt low‑end; the main restaurant looked more like a large cafeteria or casual food court than a luxury resort, the food quality was inconsistent and the seafood at the BBQ restaurant wasn’t fresh—initially it seemed undercooked to hide the lack of freshness, and when I later asked for fully cooked prawns they turned out powdery and mushy, the main beach had coarse sand mixed with broken shells and coral that made walking uncomfortable, and for the first time at a resort island I was charged for using bicycles, while the service at the main restaurant was disappointing—staff ignored guests and walked past our table without looking or checking if we needed anything.
