We had a fantastic stay! The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and make sure you have everything you need. The room is spacious with a nice bed and a good bathroom. Cleaning is thorough every day. It’s quiet at night. Breakfast is very extensive, with plenty of vegetarian options. Luis is super helpful, knows the best spots to recommend, and assisted me well when something went wrong during my trip. The rooftop terrace is also great! Thanks for the lovely stay!

The breakfast was very good, and kudos for Marie’s welcoming service. Lluis was very warm and always ready to give advice. The terraces on the top floor are beautiful, and the room cleanliness is excellent. The location is great for enjoying the beaches and hikes.

“A very special and memorable stay at Hotel Tarull!”

Our stay at Hotel Tarull was a highlight of our two‑week trip through Catalonia. The location is fantastic—just on the edge of the old town and a quick 5‑10 minute walk from the bus station and town. Owner Luis and his wife were exceptional hosts and made you feel like a special guest in their home! In fact, after many years of traveling, we can honestly say we’ve never experienced anything like this. Luis greeted us after arrival with a welcome drink, mapped out the area, and gave us recommendations on hikes, sights, and the best local restaurants. The lobby had a cozy atmosphere where many guests enjoy coffee or a drink, and the service was hospitable and warm. Luis’s parents built the hotel in 1959, and I admired the family décor and history on the walls, as well as historic photos of Tossa de Mar. The rooms were super clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. The rooftop terrace offered fantastic panoramic views of the city and old town, with plenty of seating to enjoy the view. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide assortment and egg dishes prepared to order, plus great coffee! We met many different people—especially a group who have been staying here for 46 years, and others on their second‑generation visits after seeing their parents as children. Most were repeat customers, and I understand why, given the care and connections the hosts have made. Don’t hesitate to book; it’s an experience you won’t regret! Everything was perfect.

“A wonderful family-run hotel with exceptional hospitality”

Staying at Hotel Tarull was one of the highlights of my time in Tossa de Mar. What makes this hotel truly special is not only the location, but the warmth and genuine hospitality of Luis and his family. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. Luis is an exceptional host. He took the time to personally explain the area to me and shared recommendations for hidden beaches, beautiful viewpoints, local places, and other treasures of the region that I would probably never have discovered on my own. He did everything he could to make my stay as easy and convenient as possible. What impressed me most was that this personal attention was not limited to me—Luis seems to build a genuine connection with every guest, which gives the hotel a very special atmosphere that you simply do not get in larger hotels. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day, and the rooftop terrace is another highlight, with wonderful views over Tossa de Mar and the surrounding landscape. The location is also fantastic. You are right in the historic part of Tossa de Mar, close to the beautiful old town and only a short walk from the beach. Everything is within easy reach, while the hotel itself still feels peaceful and welcoming. Tossa de Mar and the surrounding region are beautiful: great food, friendly people, stunning coastline, and a remarkable amount of history and culture. Staying at Hotel Tarull made it even more memorable because Luis and his family helped me experience the place on a much more personal and local level. I would absolutely stay here again and can recommend Hotel Tarull without hesitation.

You know what it feels like to be treated like family? That’s what we felt from day one, but as days went by we realized we weren’t the only ones. There were guests who had been coming for over 40 years. Thanks to Luis and Mery for such a warm welcome. We were so happy to leave… we were in luxury.
