Even though the place feels a bit old, it was very clean, the pool and surrounding area were well maintained, and security was solid. The only downside is that you can’t get there by car; you have to rely on taxis from Oaxaca, even if you try Uber, and because the hotel is a bit out of the way you should plan ahead. It looks like there are one or two bus lines nearby or that pass by, so ask about that if you need.
I recommend this spot – it’s super relaxed and the staff are incredibly friendly.
The room is close to the offices where I’ll be working. The bed is uncomfortable and hard, the shower has a broken knob and the temperature doesn’t stay steady – it’s either too hot or too cold. The TV never worked and the cable service was non‑functional.
