The spot is ideal for the start of the Batur trek, the setting is calm and relaxing. However, there are a lot of flies, making it impossible to stay outside peacefully (even though they’re not at fault). The tents feel suffocating hot all day, and the small extra fan isn’t enough. The pool can’t be used because it’s very dirty. The restaurant is pricey compared to nearby options (50k for Nasi Goreng, few choices). Breakfast is decent but not filling.

The pool is gorgeous, the bedding is comfy, and the staff are amazing. Unfortunately, there are a lot of flies all day, which is typical for the area and makes it very unpleasant, plus the room gets unbearably hot—no AC, only a small fan that just circulates the warm air. The hotel is far from everything unless you have your own scooter, which I didn’t.

“Mont batur stay”

The place is very pretty and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious. In the village there are many flies and the tent has no mosquito net, so you can’t open the doors because flies come in, and you can’t stay inside the tent during the day because it gets very hot. The pool is dirty, and it’s expensive by Indonesian standards.
