“Kleines Paradies mitten in den Bergen”
A real hidden gem in the middle of nature. The rooms are gorgeous, each with a huge terrace that gives a breathtaking view of Monteverde’s mountains. Jan is an amazing host – every breakfast and dinner was unbelievably tasty. 100 % would recommend this place.
The room was fantastic – great view, comfy bed, spotless. The real highlight is host Jan. His food was delicious, using ingredients straight from his own garden, and vegetarian options were no problem. Our first night in Costa Rica at Jan’s finca was the best way to start the trip. Thanks for everything!
Super pretty, comfy, and brand new – it’s a great place to stay. It’s not close to town, but driving is easy. Extras like breakfast can be pricey, but you can cook there and the room itself is reasonably priced.

Jan and Corrie have created something special here. The rooms (really apartments) look like a painting with a fantastic valley view. The birds are amazing, waking you up in the morning. Breakfast and dinner are available – and Jan turns it into a party with pancakes, eggs in all sorts of ways, fresh juice, croissants, you name it. It was great chatting with Jan about his life philosophy, and he even arranged a horse ride with his neighbor Arturo, giving us another awesome valley view.

The facilities here are top‑notch, with a beautiful view of the surroundings. The host was very accommodating. The downside is the road – it’s uneven and steep in places, so a 4x4 or better off‑road vehicle is recommended.
