The surroundings are fantastic. Everyone is very nice, and there’s a great shop and a discotheque in Tanna. The landlords were friendly. Back in DDR times it would have been a luxury, but today it’s not. For two of us it was too small; many things would need to be reconsidered to make it more modern and cozy.
We liked it; the location is quiet, 400 m to the lake where you can swim, and the area is great.

The bungalow was in a very good location. Unfortunately, it was extremely dirty, with piles of dog hair everywhere—really disgusting. The coffee machine was filthy. Cleanliness was a different story. The sink in the bathroom was only suitable for hand washing, too small, and the cabinet underneath was probably filled with junk. Spiders and dusty dirt were everywhere, even on the bed. I couldn’t tell when it was last properly cleaned. The terrace was all in one corner and very dirty; the grill was unusable. Additionally, the staircase to the garden was a hazard because only a stone and a wooden piece were placed before the steps. Because of this overall condition we contacted the hosts and described our situation; they dismissed it as trivial. Only after I sent them proof pictures did they apologize.
“Lage gut, Haus schlecht”
The location is good, with a short walk to water and forest. However, it’s steeped in 80s nostalgia, very untidy as shown in the photos, mold in the shower, walls with rough plaster that trap dust, a dirty terrace with paint splatters, and many other issues.
“Enttäuscht”
The garden was fenced and the location quiet, with nice hiking trails nearby. However, the path to the house was unpaved and full of large potholes. The lawn hadn’t been mowed for two to three weeks, so after every rain I ended up with wet shoes in the car and house. The house photos were outdated, there was no umbrella—just a Stihl—making 30 °C impractical. A dehumidifier sat in a corner, supposedly “resource‑saving” with a fee, and there was some mold in the house. Cleanliness was urgently needed: dogs were allowed but hair stuck everywhere (toilet, kitchen), the wardrobe was musty and our clothes smelled after it. The sofa was hard like a board, so two people shouldn’t stay there. Overall, the house smelled very musty. The mattresses were sagging, leaving a deep hollow when you lay down.
