There were cockroaches in the room.
“It was a nice little get away”
The room was clean and the front‑desk man was very nice.
“RUN. Sleep in your car. On a park bench...any place but here”
The property was unsafe, in complete disrepair, and there was no parking near the room; staff at a nearby restaurant warned us about crime on the premises, so I requested and received a refund.
“Disgusting room.”
What breakfast? The room was outdated, and the lamps were rusty.
“Ok, if you just need a room for a night.”
The place was fairly clean and well‑located, but breakfast was almost non‑existent and I was still charged; there was no bread or milk until I asked, the pillows smelled, and the air‑conditioning was noisy so I had to turn it off to sleep.
