Miola Hotel

The location is great. We arrived on 6/10 and everything was set up and fine; I missed the rugs at the bathroom door, but I asked at reception and everything was fine. On the third day, I left the keys for cleaning and towel change, but when I returned the rug I had requested was gone and only one towel was provided for two people. Worse, the bed where we stored our stuff had cockroaches; I killed more than five but couldn’t eliminate them all. Breakfast was repetitive each day. On Thursday after returning from the beach, I discovered I had to leave the rental car on the street because the parking was full; I checked in, gave the car plate, and wasn’t told the parking was rotating. I won’t return; I’m very upset.

Only one cleaning staff member was friendly. I must express my deep dissatisfaction with this hotel; it was far below expectations and not recommended. From the outset, the staff lacked courtesy and warmth, and reception service was disappointing. A major issue was the strong sewage smell in the room, likely from a vent near the bathroom; every time we arrived, the odor was intense and unpleasant, making the environment extremely uncomfortable. We were traveling in a group and also encountered a serious problem in one room: the sheet was blood‑stained. The guest went to reception to request a change and received a wet sheet. When questioned, they said “that’s how it is.” This is utterly unacceptable and below any minimum hygiene and service standard. The pool was very murky and appeared dirty, making us uneasy about using it. Wi‑Fi did not work at all during our stay, which is a major failure for modern accommodation. Housekeeping was also dysfunctional; basic requests like towel replacement or toilet paper were not handled properly or efficiently. The hotel’s access was poor: the street was sandy, lacked proper paving, and felt abandoned. During our stay, we even talked to a city taxi driver who mentioned the establishment had changed its name several times.

We liked the location and breakfast, and the room size surprised us. The staff’s attitude was not pleasant; they could have been friendlier and more helpful. We also had cleaning issues: we handed over the key for cleaning, but when we returned the room was exactly as we left it. Some room items didn’t work; we had problems with the air conditioner and the hair dryer.
