Overall a charming old half‑timber building, a friendly host, cozy and safe, and a lovely, probably historic dining room that vacationers in the Kassel area often book. I would have preferred the option to refill coffee for breakfast myself or have my own pot, and the à‑la‑cart dinner ended up being rather disappointing for me.
Good price, nice owner. Breakfast was excellent, the room was simple yet tidy, totally fine. Mainly suited for a layover.
The host, who was also a great cook, prepared dinner in the evenings. Even with no extra staff, the food and the summer evening on the terrace were wonderful.

The front desk guy was super friendly, and if you enjoy an old‑school vibe, this spot fits the bill 😊 The room itself was spotless, though the furniture looked aged; overall it was clean. The neighborhood, however, felt messy, littered with old items, bottles, and miscellaneous clutter.
