Super cozy, everything you need was there, and there was a dreamy view plus a sauna.

The cottage was spacious, well‑equipped, and the bedding was good; we stayed only one night but would have liked to spend several days there. It’s quiet, surrounded by meadows and rivers, yet on the edge of the main road near Borgarnes, and we were lucky to see beautiful northern lights! It might feel a bit dated.

We stayed in a wooden house with one bedroom and a sofa bed, set back behind the main hotel. The setup was simple but acceptable; the two heaters and the bathroom radiator warmed the small house quickly. The kitchen was practical, the bathroom had a shower cabin and was very basic. The house was clean, and both the beds and the sofa bed were comfortable. Contrary to our expectations, the traffic on the nearby Ringstraße could be heard loudly even with the windows closed. The strong wind rattled the loose wooden fence around the cabin, making for a restless night.
