Camping Tornio, located in Tornio's city centre, offers cottages with wooden interiors, kitchenettes, and river views. Shared bathroom facilities and some TVs are provided. Amenities include a sauna, children's playground, mini golf, BBQ facilities, and bicycle rentals. Free on-site parking is available. Tornio Train Station is 2.5 km away, and Kemi Tornio Airport is a 30-minute drive.

The cabin was huge and spotless, complete with its own sauna. Kids loved the big playground, sauna, minigolf, and the nearby hypermarkets were handy. For the price, the sheets should have been fitted beforehand, and the large windows made it very hot inside even when the weather outside wasn’t that hot. The heating/cooling unit is downstairs and barely cools the upstairs where the beds are. A restaurant or small café on site would have been nice; the kiosk only offers a limited selection.

The location is good, and if you bring dogs, the walks go smoothly. It would be wise to check the equipment, the dishwasher’s operation, and the dishware when taking food out of the oven and for desserts.

The cabins are nice and very close to Sweden, but the single sofa bed is uncomfortable – I could have slept on the sofa itself. The other cabin seemed sized for four people yet only had blankets and pillows for two.
