“Island stay”
The spot is decent, just a 10‑minute hop from the airport, and the owner will swing by to pick you up or drop you off on arrival and departure. Breakfast comes included and the timing is super flexible—if you’re on a tour you can grab it at 5 am, otherwise it’s ready at 9 am, and so on. Island life starts early; the chickens will rouse you in the morning. The rooftop is a breath‑of‑fresh‑air place where you can spot the town, the mountain, and the sunrise in the early hours, or stare at the stars at night. It’s beautiful. The downside is the ants—there are plenty of them and they keep finding their way into the room, so you can’t eat or drink anything there (water is fine, no sugar). The shower pressure is weak, and there’s no laundry facilities at the hotel, so you have to wash your clothes yourself, which means filling a bucket with water; there is a laundry shop in town. The hotel arranges tours that are cheaper than other agencies, but they’re still a bit pricey. I guess that’s just how it is on a secluded island.
