The staff were very friendly, and even though I speak very little Portuguese, that didn’t cause any trouble.

“Não volto nunca mais.”

The hotel is well located, but it was extremely unhygienic: the bedding was dirty and stained, the bath towels bore names of people (weird, almost like a forgotten guest’s), the room was full of mosquitoes, and the pillows and blankets were old. The facilities might be old, but at least cleanliness should have been maintained.

The shower was ridiculously cold, the bathroom window wouldn’t close, the bathroom door had a loose handle, there was only one socket at the head of the bed so you had to rest your head on the charger, and there were no sockets in the bathroom. The dinner at the snack bar was disappointing, and the location and staff service were also lacking.

“Para uma viagem rápida atendeu muito bem.”

The receptionist girl provided excellent service and was quick, but the air conditioner didn’t cool enough and there were a few mosquitoes in the room.

“Boa estadia. Ficamos lá por 3 dias e voltarei quando necessário.”

The facilities were good, close to the city center, restaurants, and markets, and the staff were very helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was simple but acceptable. The shower wasn’t great; the water was very weak. I think a cleaning would improve it.
